Ignition/Tuner/ECM/Fuel InjectionNeed advice on ignition issues? Questions about a tuner? Have questions about a EFI calibration or Fuel Injection? Tips on Engine Diagnostics, how to get codes, and what they mean. Find your answers here.
Was riding to work today and when I started to slow down on the HWY, my bike did not slow down. I pulled in the clutch lever and the engine would not come down off 3000 RPM. I engaged the clutch again and bogged down the engine to 2200 and pulled in the clutch. The engine stayed at 22-2300, but would not drop lower. I rolled the throttle forward and back. The idle speed goes up, but will not drop below 3000 rpm. Rode back home and shut it off. I let it sit till I got home from work. Now the bike will not start. I pulled codes and there are none stored.
It is fuel injected.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
I went back out a few hours later and the bike started. I'm going to lube the throttle cable tomorrow and see if that helps. I will also take a look at the throttle body and make sure it the throttle arm is not gummed up.
