Engine Just Quit
I ride a 2003 Ultra Classic. Last month about 2 hours into a ride the engine just quit. I got it restarted but it would not idle so i had to keep the throttle twisted a bit. Just to see if the issue had worked itself out as i was riding to the next stop i pulled in the clutch and let the throttle off and the engine would stop running but as i released the clutch it started again and i kept going. When i got to the next stop it would not idle at all. I turned the ignition off and then back on started it and it ran perfectly. This problem has occurred two times in the past 600 miles. Has anyone ever experienced this issue and if so what can you tell me about it. Thank you.

Is the bike a Delphi fuel injection? If it is, look inside the throttle bore and there is a little orifice in the upper half. Get some MAP cleaner and clean that orifice, cycle the ignition off/on a few times to open and close the orifice. By the way this is the Idle Air Control (IAC) and this helps to maintain your idle.
