Clearing codes
I have a 99 Road King Classic, and the engine light came on after the an unknown breakdown. I checked the codes, which indicate battery low voltage, solinoids etc... The bike run great, but now unable to clear codes and get the engine light to stay off. Any suggestions? Thanks
If the light is on constant that means its a current code and can't be turned off without fixing the problem. If the light just comes on for 4 seconds after the bike starts then it's a historic code and can be cleared with the odometer button. Do a search here about DTC's and you'll find out how to clear them.
