Default question about roll off switch

installing a cruise control and every thing electronical looks ok but module will not pull or lash the cable. my question is can I run a small wire across roll off switch(rt frt neck) to bypass? with out damaging switch? double checked everything and dont have a ohm meter. diagnostic codes are all fales-pos tach, rpm.

thanks

Default RE: question about roll off switch

If the switch is continuously "made" for some reason and the leads are connected normally, it's indicating a rolloff condition. Disconnect one of the leads attached to the roll off switch to "bypass" it. That takes it out of the circuit and simulates "not made" therefore should allow for lash adjustment.

Follow the procedure in the manual exactly - it will take up the lash. don't start trying to bypass stuff because you are doing something incorrectly in the setup.
