HD Factory Security System, Reset after SE Speedo/Tach Installation?
I recently installed one of the SE combination speedometer/tachometers, PN 74718-07, on my 2007 FLSTSC. This activated the factory alarm system, making it impossible to operate the starter, even after going through the reset sequence. I called my local HD Dealership, and they advised me to haul the now "Dead" bike into the shop, as "only they can reset the system".
-Is there any way to accomplish this without hauling my bike 50 miles to the shop? I have a TTS tuner installed, is there any provision to over-ride the anti-theft system via my lap-top? Is it possible to remove the anti-theft system? We leave the keys in the ignition here in small-town Iowa, as theft isn't a problem here (yet). No instructions were supplied w/ the speedo/tach.
