pcIII or timing problem?
i rebuilt spring of last year my 1998 ultra classic 80"evo.EFI i am about 10,000 miles in the rebuild. upgrades are bored .020 over wiseco 10:1 pistons,simple valve grind with a clean up of the heads, andrews EV27 cam pcIII arlen ness big sucker and rhine 4" slip ons. pcIII is from fuelmoto which had a canned program for this set up. i am completely estatic over the improvement in power and torque, it pulls strong all the way through 4th gear up to 5500. the problem is once i shift into 5th gear at about 85-90 mph the bike seems to quit pulling and i top out at about 92 mph and the rpms do not want to climb more than 4500 while in 5th gear. i can cruise at 75mph all day long and pass decently at this speed but to open her up from there as i said it tops out at about 92mph what can the problem be here.
