Hey guys I hope Im posting this in the right spot, sorry if Im not. Last year a bought a new 2011 Blackline and I installed V&H short shots, V&H fuel pac, and an Arlen Ness Big sucker air cleaner. Due to an injury right after I bought the bike I wasnt able to ride it that much so theres only 170 miles on it. I recently moved and Im having my friend ride the bike to my new place. He rode it last week without a problem. He rode it yesterday and called me up and said that the bike idling really rough, it would "cough" to a start then the rpms would drop down to almost stall it but then the rpms would rev back up, but he said that when he takes it for a ride there isnt any problem. Hes actually gonna ride the bike to the nearest HD dealer by me this saturday so I'll have them look at it, I was just curious to see if you guys think its a fuel injector problem or something else.
BTW, last winter my dad went to winterize my bike and accidentaly put in about 2 gals of regular gas and didnt drain the oil. My friend filled the tank up yesterday with premium gas, so maybe thats it.
Welcome to the Forum.
I would look into your fuel pak set-up. I don't know much about them myself, but from what I've seen in here, they can be finicky. Hope this helps. Get well soon!
trhanks for the tip. Its weird, when I rode it everything was fine. Im wondering if my friend beat the crap out of the bike and isnt telling me, he has an iron 883 and he always liked my bike...lol
