The engine light started coming on after I washed my bike this weekend. At first I thought it was just water in a connector but it's been 3 days and the light is coming on more often. It comes and goes but when it's on the bike loses power and starts spitting and sputtering. Trouble is I don't know how to make it tell me what the error code is. Any help??

Before I get all the normal smart a$$ comments... I did do a search (for an hour) before I decided to post. I can't get my laptop to connect to the ECM to pull the error code (don't know if the two are related)

Of course once I do get the code...stick around..I'll need help translating it.
