Default Check engine code help

Let me start out by saying I am very new to forums and harleys so you might have to dumb it down for me but I need help! My 2010 FLHX with 13" apes keeps giving me two codes (p1510 and p2138). I have been doing some reading on the forums and seem to get mixed answers. I have replaced some fuses to test for corosion however this didn't help. I moved my throttle out a half inch because it stuck and this didn't help. I took it down to my local harley shop and they tell me I need to replace my ECM based on the book they have. I did reset the codes after each thing I tried but still getting a light. I saw something about resetting the grip sensor? Pros/Cons to this and worth doing? Any help woudl be awesome!

still lost however I think I have found the cause of the problem. When I turn my handlebars all the way to the left it triggers the check engine lights and the codes. Anyone know how to fix this? I have read around that cleaning some connecters behind the air intake could help? Anyone know which ones to check? Thanks!

Check for loose connections/broken wires coming from the twist grip sensor going back to the ECM. I had a broken wire in the harness. It was broken where the big clamp on the right side of the neck holds the harness to the frame. There are a few harnesses bundled together. You need to isolate the one for the twist grip sensor. It will have only 4 wires in it.
