Suffered the dreaded Limp Mode last Saturday for the 2nd time on my 2011 Ultra Limited. Bike has a Stage 1 on it with PowerVision tuner but otherwise motor and handle bars are stock. Also, bike is 20 months old so should have a few months of warranty left.
Question, what approach do you use to get the service manager to really look into the problem and find the bad circuit as opposed to just blaming this on my stage 1. I've not checked codes yet but am concerned the dealer will give the repair to some novice or just bandaid the underlying problem until bike gets out of warranty.
Not sure if it has any bearing on the problem but got caught in about a 30 minute down pour a week ago.
Pull your codes and know before you go, there is a bullitin and they will probably just change the pins at your breather to larger pins, you can reset your bike to get her out of the limp mode by searching for DTC on here.
