Well, the ride went well. Felt like a whole new bike with one exception. As I was pulling in to get gas, the thing died. It started back up, I turned the bars and it did it again. Looking behind the speed o bezel, I seen a couple wires. When I wiggle them, it died. Several times. I guess I'm pulling that apart tomorrow to fix that connection.
Last update: I've been waiting on a couple things to put my bike back together again, but seeing how they won't be in for another week or so, I went ahead assembled it.
Looks like the main wire supplying voltage to the switch had a shaky connection which had to be cleaned. I decided to put some dielectric compound on this connection as it's susceptible to condensation in wet weather.
I took it for a nice long ride today, putting it through the paces and found the bike operating normally. No hesitations, stalling or dieing out.
Just wanted to thank UltraNutz for giving me a hand sorting this out, and hope this will help someone else out sometime.
