1999 Roadking Police edition, stalling
Hello, I have a 1999 Roadking. Recently, it has decided to give me a unpredictable issue. With no warning, symptom or reason, coming to a stop, i pull clutch in and engine shuts off. when this happens i still have power. When i try and restart, it backfires, pops and shutters. After a few minutes it fires and runs perfect for a undetermined amount of time. I have tried to reproduce it in garage at idle, no luck, seems to happen after about 15 mins on bike.

If it's injected try cleaning the air bleeds in the intake. Pull a/c off and at 2 and 10 position will be the bleeds. I use map sensor cleaner and cycle ignition off and on 2 or 3 times while spraying in them. Mine will stall at a stop when these get dirty.

I also have a 99 king mine was doing the same thing would die like you hit the kill switch off let sit for awhile starts runs fine for 5 to 10 minutes same thing just die again I checked for spark right after this happened I wasnt getting any so I new it wasnt fuel changed out the crank possition sensor that was it no Issues in 4 years now hope you get that scoot going soon good luck.
