Starter motor problems
08 Streetglide, 20,000 miles. For the last few months, when the starter engages, it seems to struggle to turn the engine over. Replaced the battery thinking that was the problem, but it made no difference. Now the problem seems to be worsening. I get a kind of sick feeling that the engine won't turn over, but so far it has.

Clean all the hi-power electrical connections, at both ends, as well as the ground. It could be as simple as poor connectivity. If everything checks out OK you may need to strip and clean the starter itself. I did that to mine, some years ago, and was surprised how much dirt there was inside.
