Default 2010 RG Starting Problems

Hello everyone. I recently had to drain my tank for my transfer from Camp Pendleton to Camp Lejeune. When I did this I removed the tank and drained from the bottom by taking the fuel line quick disconnect out of the tank. The bike was in transport/storage for about a month. I've got the tank filled with about 2 gallons and the battery has been charged. The motor cranks but will not start. Is there anyway I can check for fuel starvation? I'm thinking the supply line may have gotten kinked when reinstalling the quick disconnect. If that's not the case I'm thinking it may be a priming issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Madness :-)

Have you checked for any DTC Codes in your odometer for any fault codes?

Are your plugs getting wet from turning it over?

Take the plugs out, ground them, crank the engine and see if there is spark. If Spark is good then you have a fuel supply problem. Can you hear the fuel pump run? Logic says the problem is related to fuel - did the transport company prep the bike for transport in any way?

Yes, I can hear the fuel pump run when the ingition is turned on. I'm getting ready to pull the plugs next and check them. If they're good, the tank is coming off. The shipping company didn't do anything to the bike except ship. It was a requirement for me to drain for transport though, other wise I would've left it alone.

When you unscrewed the quick disconnect from the bottom of the tank, you probably twisted the fuel line off between the pump and the fitting. First step is to check fuel pressure with a guage at the fitting, if the pump is running and you have no fuel pressure, you will have to go inside the tank. The fitting and the hose come together as a unit when purchased as a replacement part. A shop is probably going to get an hour to and hour and a half to replace the fitting and line.
