Default automatic or manual compression release

Need help, I'm installing a stage 4+ on my 09 crossbones, and harley says i should use automatic instead of manual compression release. Would like someone's opinion. Thankyou

My opinion is Harley is trying to up sell you. I have manual compression releases on mine. Seems like less to mess up to me and a compression release does the same job whether manual or auto. Only difference is you have to push the manual ones in by hand.

I'd save a few bucks.

Going price for a manual release is about $18. Harley automatic releases are $40 each I believe.

That amount i can live with. I'm more concerned if there just as reliable as manual.
Thanks again

They are servicable. They hang up you remove them then clean out any carbon.

Manual one's. As easy as pulling a spark plug. ACR's are in the center of the head under the valve cover. Not so easy to remove and clean.
