Chasing gremlins
Having one hell of a time figuring out what is wrong with my 02 Ultra.
First issue I was having was speedo and tach dying - that I was able to determine was the speed sensor and has been resolved with a replacement.
Now I am having very intermittent issues with what I can only describe as "lack of fuel". Does not seem to be consistent or predictable other than it seems to happen more so when the bike is good and warm.
I will be riding along and suddenly the bike will start to sputter, if I roll on the throttle it sputters harder for a bit and then will clear out and run fine. This happens at low rpm, high rpm, slow speed, high speed, once in a while at idle and then it will just stall.
I have replaced the coil, plugs, checked IAC for leaks and cleaned it very well. Checked the fuel lines in the tank by running a pressure test on it - runs a very strong 56 pounds on the gauge.
Any help? Getting extremely frustrated.
I just bought the bike about 6 weeks ago and it seems I am continuously chasing gremlins with one thing after another. Previous owner had some motor work done with a 95 kit Andrews 37 cam and what everyone keeps calling a "Zippers Auto Tune". I don't know much about ecm or tuners but I believe this is a Thunder-Max tuner.
