just installed pc3, ness sucker, bub pipes. downloaded samson power commander program m814-004. (figured this would be good enough to get down the road to dyno). well anyways bike will not start at all. will turn over, pc3 lights come on, battery charged, no obvious problems i can think of. bike has been sitting but gas has stabil in it. whats a good problem checking starting point? tried starting so much gas started running out pipes,[sm=dontgetit.gif]
Take off the PCIII, so the ECM is back to stock and see if it starts. If it starts right up, you know the problem is something you did when you installed the PCIII. You can then focus your troubleshooting on the PCIII.
check the ecm fuse ,if you blew the fuse your PC crashed. My 2000 RG with the MM EFI crashed 3 pc with in 1 1/2 years went with a sert no troubles. Your 07 has the delphi EFI which I think it the best there is.
Did you check for spark? Always when diagnosing a no start check for fuel and fire. Once you have ruled those out you normaly check timing but in this situation it would be the computer that needs checked.
it was the ecm fuse! changed it and removed pc3 and bike started right up! tks for the help but was wondering why this happened?
im going to re-try the pc3 today and see what happens.
Check some wiring around the battery posts. We had a failure of this sort over the weekend where the o2 sensor wire wore through and shorted on the +ve post. This put the other sensors using the common ground out of wack also. Currently being fixed under warranty but this is the second 07 that I have heard of with a similar problem. Yours could be a 3rd?
