Dyna is confusing and not amusing (p0502)
I took off from a gas station today and my check engine light came on on my 06 dyna. Stock motor with hi-flow air filter, exhaust and power commander 5. It started to idle funny, stalled ocasionally upon deceleration whether hitting the brake or not, self cancelling function on the turn signals stopped working, speedo stopped working and odo stopped working. I ran the diagnostic mode and got p0502 which shows the electronic sending unit for the trans speed sensor. So my question is how the hell does that cause all this to happen. I checked my all my deutsche connectors and spark plug wires on the bike with no signs of being disconnected or loose. I noticed that the rear wheel kissed one of the tail light wires causing it to be bare. I taped and loomed it up so it is no longer contacting anything. Bike is still doing it. No blown fuses. Any reccomendations fellas?

ECM uses the input from the speed sensor to correct for idle and the TSM uses the input frm the sensor to turn of the turn signals. There is more to it but bottom line just replace the speed sensor on top of the trans and problems will go away.
