Diagnostic Code PPU 84172 on a Dyna
Diagnostic Code PPU 84172 on a 2002 Dyna Carburated....Does anyone have a clue what this code is for? All other Codes come back CLR. Harley Dealer has no Idea. Everything works on the bike except for the Speed o meter and Turn Signal Cancellation. Please Help.

Try pulling the speed sensor out of the trans and wipe it off. They can get caked with metal flakes therefore mess up the speedo. The turn signals are self cancelling based on speed so you may fix both probs. I could be wrong but it's worth a shot and wont cost you anything to try it. The speed sensor is located on the top right side of the trans. Look for a wire leading to a plug.
