I need the brain power of this Forum. I went out to start my bike and it did NOTHING not ever a groan, click, nothing. The headlight looked bright, horn works, hit the starter button nada!
I rode the bike last week 50mi. on a semi-warm day, it started fine rode fine, NO problems. I pulled it in my garage and there it sat, I did nothing to it, till I hit the button yesterday "To show it to a friend" I was RED faced !!!
I don't think its the battery, could a starter wire have come loose, what are your suggestions ?
Had the same thing happen to me last summer....end up being a loose ground to the battery...had enough for the lights etc I guess, but not enough to turn over that mean "V"..good luck, hate to hear. My bike is like my kids.....as soon as I start braging on it, it embarrasses me. LOL
We used to play tricks on new riders by hitting the run/stop switch while there bike was parked and beleive me some where ready to call for a tow because the bike would not start. No Click, No Moan NOTHING but the lights work and the horn works.
Please check the run/stop switch before you tear the bike apart.
NOW I FEEL LIKE A DUMB AZZ !!!!!
THANKS SCOTTY3, AND EVERYONE ELSE !!! I thought tomorrow I put it on the lift and check everything ! I told the wife about all the answers I'd got. She said go down to the garage and check your kill switch. You NEVER know.... Well long story short, it was in the stop position.
I hardly EVER use it, I use the switch in the console. Well I am BLONDE, would that have anything to do with it ??? Thanx EVERYONE! I guess the 42bucks a month for internet was worth it.
