Dyna Ignition Switch Issue

2006 Street Bob. Today I turned the key to start position and the headlights came on, but the dash lights did not and it would not crank. I tried turning the key slightly counter clockwise from the ignition position and the dash lights came on and the bike started. I noticed the switch assembly was a little loose so I tightened it, but the key still has to be manipulated some back and forth to get it to work. It does not happen all the time, but needless to say, worrisome. I tried both keys - doesn't matter.

I called the dealer and they said ignition switches must be ordered directly from Harley and it is a 2 week process at least.

Any ideas on this? Could it be something else? Any way to jury rig it so I can make Bike Week?
