Default engine vibration

I have a 2002 fatboy TC 88 with a few mods, vance & hines exhaust and carb rejetting some time back,None to the engine. I haven't noticed it before but I seem to have a fine vibration at around 70mph and up. It is either engine or primary chain, I think. When I am getting this vib I can pull in the clutch and roll off the throttle and there is no vibration, so I know it's not the tires. I have 31k miles on this bike and have keep it serviced very well all except the serious stuff, like cam chains and such. Any Ideas what to look for or do ya think this is normal.

With that many miles, I'd start thinking about cam chain tensioners or bearings. Almost has to be in the engine or primary from what you describe.

replaced the outer chain tentioner at 30k. it bearly had some wear, so i didn't go on back to the inside tentioner. I have always run amsoil 20/50 synthetic. So because of the little to no wear I thought maybe the chains would be good. But if you think it could be this then I will go deeper. And by the way, Thanks TED for the reply I also thought of replacing the cam chain wit the gear to gear type cams, any thoughts on this change?

Almost has to be engine - primary area related - have your dealer ride it and see what he thinks. Most likely, another bike's been in for the same thing if the shop foreman has experience. Good luck, my friend.
