Default Engine Whine

I have an 04 Ultra with 70k on it. Last night as I was coming home, all of a sudden a loud whine started coming from the engine. Didn't matter what gear or if clutch was in or out, idle or running at 2k rpm.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking for the cause?

A little more info now. I finally got a few minutes to look a little further.

The noise appears to be coming from the lower end, primary, on the right side. Sounds like a car that is low on power steering fluid.

Going to get into it this weekend but maybe someone has some ideas on where to start or what to look for.

Inner primary bearing if the noise is in the primary. Gotta go and have a look at it. or cam chain tensioners if on the right side.

I'd bet on it being the cam chain tensioners if they haven't been changed before now.

Opening up either or both is very straight forward. You said right and primary.
Sitting on the bike will place the primary on left.
