have 07 RK stage 1 air supertrapp 2 into1 exh. Had bike dyno tuned, the tuner used canned base ignition map and in the summer heat the bike pings So I started messing with the timing, removed a bunch of timing compared to the base map, and this is what I wound up with, no complaints, bike runs fine, getting an average of 39 mpg.. I have nothing to compare my maps with to see where I'm at timing wise, would like to see some ign maps to compare what other guys are runnin/and or comments on what I have done
The best advice I can give is data. There're some posts in the TTS section on how the timing was arrived at by guys at TTS. Save the changes you have put the original timing back in and data log. Make the bike ping, read the data, adjust reflash and do it over again to make sure. On the graph for data master eliminate all the other sources, just have the rpm, front and rear knock retard. It makes real easy to see the pings. Taking to much timing out isn't good either.
taking out too much timing is my main concern, done many data runs on the hottest days to get out the ping Iv'e taken out more than 10 degrees in some places from the base map but what gets me is by the butt dyno I can't tell or feel any difference I have found some maps of other bikes but no stage 1 maps , only ones with motor work like cams, pistons , big inch etc. A stock or stage 1 map seems to be impossible to find.
http://tunemyharley.com when chasing ping or knock retard this is the best "no guessing" solution I have found well worth the money.
Does your dyno tuner guaranty his work? you should take it back and have him work the timing tables

I agree with having the tuner take a look at it. If he won't you might look at the ve tables vs where the pinging is, and see if that area is low vs the surrounding area. 10* is a lot of timing to pull out.
