Default Cannot flash modified MAP with SEPST

I bought a used bike with what I think is a SEPST but now I am starting to wonder. It says Screamin Eagle Super Tuner Pro on and not Pro Super Tuner. I have included a picture below.

Anyway I am trying to smart tune my bike and I noticed after updating the VE tables with the new downloaded recorded data the software would revert all of the value back to the canned map values when trying to save the map with a different name.

I then noticed I could take a stock canned MAP and have everything hooked up to my bike, the flash icon would be enabled and ready to flash the map but as soon as I changed any value on the stock canned MAP the flash icon at the top of the software would become disabled and I could no longer click on it. It would not matter what value in the MAP i changed for this to happen. I am working with the 205TD004-000 MAP if that matters.

I downloaded the software from here http://prosupertuner.harley-davidson...uperTuner.aspx

Any help with trying to flash a modified MAP would be appreciated.

I am about to smash this thing with a hammer and be done with it.

I was on a Windows 8 computer. I installed the software on a Windows 7 computer and tried to update the VE tables with the smart tune data. As soon as I save the MAP, the programs reverts all the tables back to the original MAP. I did change the 3 digit MAP ID and that did not help. I did not even hook this other computer up to the bike.

Don't smash it. We'll help you figure this out. I think this is the right part, but why don't you post the part number?

That would be great! I might have been exaggerating a bit.

It came in a little brown box and the only number on that is 555321. Also there is a number on the back of the VCI of 1811216059.

On the other Windows 7 computer I have, that has not been hooked up to the bike I loaded up the 205TD004-000 base map. Changed the 3 digit number on the end of the map to 002. Changed the VE Front Cyc. Table cell of 3, 1000 from 88 to 88.2, tried to save the MAP and then everything was reset back to 88.0 in the cell upon saving.

I think it might be a software issue. This happened in version 7 and version 7.04 or whatever the latest version is.

try this to make sure you have communication.
hook everything up. Then open the file saved on the VCI tab. Is it the same file you are working with. also post your bike info.
did you run updates and was there an update for the VCI

The VCI file is the same one I am working with.

I can flash a stock MAP without issue. I can even pull the VCI MAP from the bike when its connected but as soon as I make a change to the MAP the flash button becomes disabled.

The bike is a 2008 FLHTCU.

There was an update to the VCI when I first hooked it up and the update ran an installed fine.

I hooked up the bike to the VCI and computer. I pulled the map from the VCI. The flash button is enabled and ready to go in the software. As soon as I made a change, I decreased one of the AFR cells by .1, the flash button in the software instantly disabled itself.

I tried the same thing again but with one of the cells in the VE Front Cyl and as soon as I made the change the flash button in the software disabled itself.

I was able to screw around with it and was able to save one change to a cell in a VE table, flash it, and confirmed the change was flashed by pulling the MAP from the VCI.
