hi all this bike never seems to end I replaced the points dual fire with a single fire system its called ultima electronic system. now how do I time the bike theirs no advance or rotor now. do I still time the bike the old way on the advance mark? does this system advance the timing auto.their are four set marks on the unit I set it for electric start, since i doent have a voes switch( something like that) i set that for race,THATS AS FAR AS THE INSTRUCTIONS GO. spark advance to max and rev limiter to 7000 now what. theirs a little led lite that goes on when the ign. is on and flashes when the bike is running. I don't know how to time the bike properly the instructions don't tell you any more.(they do tell you to ground a green wire before timing that wire is supposed to go to the voes switch Is this wire grounded all the time? the bike seems to run ok. I have the whole unit advanced a little now. i'm guessing on this. sigh thanks larry
http://www.ultimaproducts.com/ignite.htm This is what I found on the ignition system you described having. The instructions can be downloaded as a PDF and printed out. Check and see if your instructions are the same as these. I did not know what model you bought, so I could not proceed further.
If there are any questions about using the product I would suggest you contact their customer service for an answer. They will be most qualified to give a correct answer.
Because it is an electronic igntion system, that prevents an old Dino like me from making much sense out of the instructions given.........pg
