seems ive got a pretty bad vibration i n the old sporty.agian its a 71.im gonna do some tests to day on it.it feels like my feet are gonna go to sleep after a wile.its only in the foot pegs. the wheels are spoked and have weights on them but i dont know if they are right ive never personally had them ballanced. but they do have new venom tires so i figured they are ballanced.
it almost seems like harmonics. i know the rear wheel is not perfectly lined up in fact is off quite a bit [i just noticed that i must have been seening crooked when i put it on] could that make vibes?the rear chain is not as tight now as spec but i doubt that would have any thing to do with it,but what about the primary chain i didnt adjust it when i replaced the clutch.it seemed loose but it was in spec.would air pressure inthe tires have any thing to do with this.
to be honest i think its just my cheapass forward controls multiplying whats there that are the flimsyest things ive ever used im gonna get new ones but need to get through all the elctric hikes first, jared
I had a '71 XLCH that started a really weird vibration one day. I rode it like that for a couple weeks before I discovered the 3 point bracket that stabilizesthe two cylinders and attached to the frame had busted in two. I rode out to the dealer and he had one in stock. I remember asking if this was common, and ole Jonesy said "Nope... but I've seen a couple of 'em do it".
