The sprocket cover on my 66 XLCH cracked which of course means that the clutch can't be adjusted. Has anyone had similar problems? I bought a new sprocket cover. Are there any hidden gotcha's or problems replacing this thing?

do you have a manual? should only have to undo the clutch cable the worm gear and the cover colts

 

I cracked a couple over the years on my CHs. Pretty common. While you have it off, make sure your kicker shaft is true and check your bushings.
