So id like to if I can place a xls brake on my bike my mechanic says they won't fit but theresame year different model being XLS compared to XLH. Some one help me out please. All Sportsters 1978 to 1983 have the same front brake system, the one in both pictures. I am not expert knowledgeable with the FX models but it is common knowledge that they have the identical complete front end to the Sportsters for those years.
It looks to me like when someone posted the silver calipers they did not know what they have and what they fit . They said shovelhead -- that's wrong also FX for Sportster -- that's wrong also . Get away from that
