I recentely put a new clutch in during my rebuild, and in the J&P catalor I saw a produst called the Tamer II. It is added somewhere around the clutch are and is suppose to elimated jerkling and lugging while in gear and stopped. It looks like a plug and bushing basically. The kit is about 45 bucks, anyone ever tried these, do they work?
These are pretty new, and since they're for Ironheads, won't be too many in use, yet. But if they do the job on a Sporty that the other Tamer products do on a Big Twin clutch, they'll work fine.
1970 and earlier has a dry clutch.
1971 and later has a wet clutch.
These are totally different clutches and no parts other than the primary chain is interchangeable. Also, there is no way to make the parts interchange........pg
