Gas leaking from the bowl overflow. Took it apart cleaned it, rode aroung all weekend...no problem. Ran outofgasthis morning, put it on aux and made it to the gas station to refill.After fill up, stopped at the next light and my pipes are smoking
and gas all over my freekin foot. Rode about a half mile back home wondering if the thing would blow while I was riding home.
Anyway what do you think? Dirt from the tank or bad float needle?
Could have been either dirt under the seat or a bad needle and seat. When it hangs open like that, you can tap the side of the float chamber with a wrench and this will usually dislodge any trash. If it continues I suggest you replace the needle and seat and be sure to set the float level correctly with the install......pg
