Default 72 XLCH project

Hello everyone, I just picked up this complete 72 XLCH with a bunch of extra parts. It's one of three projects in my garage at this time, so not sure when I will be getting to it. My plans are a Bronson tribute bike, converted to electric start. I already have the starter assembly, chrome oil tank and battery box. Need to find a ring gear clutch shell and cam/sprocket covers with the starter cutout. I also have an excellent quiet exhaust system with heat shields.

That should be fun...but also a bit of a money pit. Some time ago I realized I wasn't going to get everything I wanted to completed and narrowed my focus...I drive by places with too many projects in their yards everyday. This last project took years.

Well, for me, that's why motorbikes are the best hobby: you can save a bazillion if you do our own wrenching, and as long as it's got a brake light and license tag, you're good to go.

Have fun, Joe! That's what life's about, IMHO.

Your project picture takes me back. I once put together a basket case Norton in my kitchen.
I hope it's all there and comes alive like a new one!
