Years ago the previous owner of my bike took off the mag and wont sell it back. I would love to find one that'll fit so I can keep it somewhat original and unique. Does anyone know where I could go about finding the right one?
Good luck on finding one. You will be looking for a Fairbanks-Morse magneto. They are very rare today and most any one you will find is probably beat to sh*t. You can search Ebay and maybe get lucky.
A member here just told me that he has removed his mag from his 1968 CH and is replacing it with a circuit breaker. I cannot reveal his handle because my advice to him was to hang onto the mag because they are so hard to find anymore.
Man, a 1968 CH is hard to find anymore.
Good luck.........pg
There are a couple on eBay right now, one ending tomorrow. The used ones usually go for about three-hundred. Be sure they work, though. There are quite a few dead magnetos on the marketplace.
Yeah that was me pg I have the 68xlch I am not sure what I am going to do with the mag yet works great just like something a little more simple well then the chrome too lol
Yep, I knew it was you. There is another member looking to buy a mag here on the forum if you want to sell it. I did not mention your name because it is non of my business. You have no doubt seen his post today........pg
