Default RE: 79' elec. problem

Did you leave the lights on while you were in the house for 20 minutes and then came back out and tried to start it? If so then you may have drained the battery enough to run the lights but not crank the motor. The battery needs about 12.5 volts to turn over the motor. Try first hooking the battery up to a charger and letting it charge for a few hours. Then crank it back up.
