Run away screaming!&nbsp\\;[8D]
$3000 bike tops not $6000 and you'll have to put lots MO money in it.
Ironheads you gotta love enough to be prepared for lot's of wrench time and shelling out money to keep 'em going,it's a disease lol.

I been there. Love is blind, OK? Remember that when you look again then remember what the people posted for you. I have a 70. I figured a running rolling sporty alone was worth $1800-2200&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; The engine was rebuilt and the guys bill from the shop was $2400 It's got chrome and billet everywhere, paint, lots of goodies that cost, lots of Ness, fwd controls, 1" bars wires inside, gen, mikuni, new tank and flush aircraft cap, fenders,&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; new rubber, big rear, front disc, petcock,,,, on and on it's been replaced,,,, right down to the ignition key I mean everything! It's easier to say you name it it's new pretty much other than other than the core and frame. It was in the range of this one and I paid it. I love it. However bad times hit&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; (divorce, lost shop, income, home) needed some cash. Maybe 25 people looked at it. Only actual offer I got was $2000 and I had it at $5K obo. I still have it, probably always will. Hermit

Edit\\; attachments didn't work I guess.

I don't know about the price but it sounds to me like it is a mismash of parts thrown together and calling it an Ironhead sportster.Custom build bike with a 74 HD Ironhead engine so to speak.

Thanks Pitbull and Y2K. Oh the cookie sheet? That's how I test traction. I always seem to forget and drive right over them on the way out. It's not like the bike leaks, much, well ok it leaks. But it's getting better. You can tell my oil blowby hose blew "bye" looking in front of the sheet. Hermit

ANSWER- MY IRONHEAD LEAKS ZERO OIL. Why? Answer- Cause when it leaks- I FIX THE LEAK!
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Pretty simple.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
I hate that old bullcrap saying that ALL HARLEYS LEAK OIL!
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
BULL!
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Oh, and $6000 is way too much to pay.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
&nbsp\\;
And lastly but most important - If you don't want to work on a bike........go buy yourself a nice HONDA SHADOW..........

Well, you got a point there.......... I'm an OF though, it brings tears of joy to my heart to see an old Harley mark it's spot. I can remember a Harley shop in WA state, way back, pre evo time. In the showroom the scoots had cookie sheets to protect the carpet. Never crossed anyones mind that it wasn't the way it was supposed to be.&nbsp\\; It may be too late for me even though I got the 70 sealed up pretty good with some of this years maintenence, new ball and spring, primary gasket, replaced primary cover and new acorns/studs. My evos never dripped a spot, sold them both, just not natural. &nbsp\\; Hermit

&nbsp\\;
hmmmmmmmmmm......... it's sorta perverted to like oil puddles under your bike........
&nbsp\\;
I suggest you fix the leaks and just keep your used oil after a change and drip some about here &amp\\; there to satisfy the perversion.

&nbsp\\;
PS- Evo's don't count as they ain't "real Harleys".
