Default Converting to a 2007 front end

I just bought a 2007 sportster front end, in order to upgrade to disc brake. Right now I have a 71 front end on my ironhead. I was under theimpression that I could just buy the race and bearing kit from zoom cycle and be just fine with any front end. The more im reading it looks like newer front ends use taller and wider steering stems. Does this conversion kit solve this proble or do I need to get another set of inserts to make this work. I know its possible, ive seen some new wide glide coversions on this forum. Thanks for any help.

give me the length of your neck but I think you can just remove the steering stem, press out than make it smaller no problem.&nbsp\\; The steering stem is 1" so you need the correct bearings.

There is a billet neck cup kit that replaces the cups with some taller billet machined ones but sorry cant think of the name of the manufac. I will look thru my old emails and try to find it.

Ordered&nbsp\\;a set today. I will let everyone know how well they work. I did some research on some other forums (none as good as this one) Everyone who has used them, thinks they are great. Thanks for the link.
