Wipe it down with WD-40 every other ride and your set. I love this chain. You will need a chain breaker tool to remove a few links though as this chain is about 2 or 3 links too large.
The same as you have had previously. 15-20K. I just bought and put one on 4K miles ago and haven't had a single issue from it and I have only had to tighten it once from stretching.
You could use other chains like an o-ring and it might be a bit better, BUT you will end up having to chop a bunch off your sprocket cover just to accomodate the new chain. O-ring chains are much thicker than the standard chain. This is why I chose to go with this chain. No need to grind down the sprocket cover, and I get the same reliability from it.
Here's another good choice for a non o-ring chain. I bought one of these a year and a half ago and it's the best chain I've ever used - practically no stretch so far. Does require chain lube, but I use Castrol chain wax, which slings very little.
