Hi piniongear glad to hear that you are doing well. I have read and reread your threads on the Bendix carb in the pursuit of a good running carb for my 67. When I pulled it off my bike this spring it was apparent that it was running very rich and it always seemed to run a little "fat". Now I put a Tilly back on which I know you despise but it seems to be working well but again a little fat but I am getting it dialed in.
My questions are twofold
What are the dimensions of the proper Oring on the fixed jet ? We in Canada don't seem to label ours that way
Does lowering the float to say a quarter inch help to possibly lean the mixture?
Also my mileage sucked with the Bendix which leads me to believe that gas was bypassing possibly the needle and seat. I just want to get it ready to bolt back up if my Tilly gets me too frustrated. Thanks
