Default '82 clutch dragging

Hey guys, sadly enough this is my first post in this forum and it's a problem. But I got an ironhead, what more could I expect?

I have an '82 XLH1000, original owner claims that the transmission was just rebuilt (nice pile of receipts from that and the motor) and a new Barnett clutch was installed. He said he has less than 40 miles on the total rebuild.

Symptoms are obvious clutch drag: movement with lever pulled in, stalling when stopped in gear, hard to down shift, etc. I have already adjusted the engagement, but I think I might not have done the screw quite right (maybe need to back it out a little more). The cable is fine, adjustment it so that it has barely any play, but still have said problem. Makes me think this is a definite adjustment issue, but it has a new clutch, shift forks, and pretty much everything else. Stuff was professionally installed, maybe they just did not adjust something right, or does the new clutch need to be broken in?

And of course, my first post here means worthless thread without at least one pic of this fine piece of machinery.

Fixed the problem. Backed out the engagement screw a small bit more, readjusted the cable, let it warm up, took the choke off, and poof! I no longer need the brake to hold the bike in place while in gear.
