Well, it may have sold but you still have your money in your pocket.
I know you want to get a project bike soon, but just keep looking and don't be in too much of a rush.

Yep, Your right..that green aint hurting my pocket! I do want one to chop, and the 71 is way to stock to do that to! The add says He has the factory parts, tank, seat ect..So it would have to get a restore of course. And that sounds fun to!
wellll..Rather than butcher a restorable IronHead,I went and bought a new Santee rigid frame, the widest wideglide front end I could find 2" over,tanks,wheels,tires,14" apes, and most of the rest of the crap I need.Have a newly rebuilt 72 engine with 83 top end,S @ S shorty "E", Andrews PB+ cams,So now I have my winter entertainment. Now to decide what fenders..color..seat...tank emblems or decals..(fat bob) Tail lite..Considering having all the tin brass plated! or copper..any suggestions?
Mick,I like that . What about discoloring ,as in torch..controlled rust..grinding/sanding marks..Heck,what about bluing it like my older revolvers? I would like a one of a kind!
Think i have it! The frame on my favorite old Colt is what I think is called "color case hardened" now if I can figure out how to duplicate that>..then a clear urethane..
