Carb question

Default Carb question

I have a 1983 xls that I am working on and the inlet for the gas is broken off, can I replace this or do I need a new carb. I have seen inlet sold in after market catalogs but how do you get the old one out its plastic to

Common problem. I have not had it myself. But i believe you just remove the remains of the old one and press in the new one.

Best to get some technique from someone who has done it before. Ask here ...

Very common. Dig out the old and press in the new while supporting the carb. And be careful. If it's a tight fit put the new fitting in the freezer for a few hours. If you search the net you will find directions.
