84 xls 1000 makes noise starts loses power

I can honestly say im glad i joined this site..
Yinz guys got this **** down pat!! luckily, i own an old, well known bike, just as all the ironhead owners! lol cuz i havent once got on here and NOT found the answers to stuff...
This winter my heads are coming apart to have the valve guides replaced and fully redone. ill make sure i keep up on the push rod adjustment as well. i'm sure some of my top end noise is from that discussion, but i havent had any problem other than oil consumtion so imma ride it for a month more, (or so?) and then park n tear it down!
