This has been discussed on various forums many times over the years. The answer is no, except that with a cutting torch, a welder and lots of $s you can do anything.

Not a dumb question on the 9 inch rear end, the nine has been used as the standard for racing circles for many years, so Chev, Mopar Honcho and every other rod has had a 9 inch when the builder could afford the good stuff, the nine on my mustang was build by curry, only way to tear it up it is to lett it fall of the side of a 100 story building.
seeeeeeeee.

I have an 80 model and the 2 things that are hard to find on it are: 1. Oil Tank 2. Trim around oil tank on right side. Other than that I've loved mine just gave it to my wife and I bought an Evo 1340. Only thing I hated on mine was no kick start.

Some early 1980s were built with '79 parts and a kicker can be installed.

Milwaukee Iron in Lynchburg said they could do a kick for me 3 years ago parts and labor 500-900 bucks plus any machining they couldn't do in shop. Rick Doss back in 1998 wanted $1200 to start. Cheaper to roll start it or get a jump.

You do have to pull the trans to install the kick shaft.
