rear jug won't fire

Wow! First off, let me thank you all for the good info!! It still has the old points ignition system so a complete tune up and valve adjustment will take place in the next day or two. I've had my little darling for about 15 years now, and even though its given me some pretty substantial headaches over those years, it's become an old friend that deserves some TLC. I'll keep you all posted and mucho thanks again! Oh, and by the way, I managed to include a pic of "Battling Betsy"

pull the plugs and ground them (lay them on the head) turn the engine over and watch for spark on both plugs..stock, both cylinders should fire at the same time everytime.the coil doesnt know front or rear.both fire and one spark is wasted..if you have spark and compresion,it has to be a valve not opening or severely bad timing..like one cylinder is firing when the other needs it then the other cylinder is firing mid stroke
