Guess its a wrap !

Well winding down riding season here in chicago. Got to say my old POS made it thru the whole season! Never left me stranded ran like a champ. Made several longer rides this year 300 to 400 miles on a day. Blasting up and down the toll ways was a lot of fun! This is my 4th year on my 78 and with out the help on this board I don't think this riding season would have been near as good as it was..so thanks to all here that answered questions for me and help me to understand this old machine.

I ride until they salt the roads. Then i wait umtil there has been some rain to wash away the salt then i am out there again. Just within the city. Coldest i have been out in has been -7`C. I am hoping for a chance at -10`C.

I plan on riding through the winter as once my Sportster is running reliably I am selling my car. I too have a '78 and have been finding this forum to be very valuable, right up there with my Factory Service Manual.
