Ive got 16's on my07 with stock risersand I love them. I'v had apes on all my bikes and I've gotten so use to them that I don't think I could ride without them. Their right about the risers make sure their not rubber mounted or the pucker factor will go way up.......
Apes on a rigid?.....now you're talking.
As I have said before, most of this stuff is all personal taste, but I have always been a big fan of apes. I had them on a Heritage Springer and believe me when I tell you that not only do they look so freakin' sick on some bikes, but the comfort level goes way up. Your wrists and hands are at a natural riding position and they feel great.......
Good luck with that and make sure to send some pics after you get them on.
