I have my primary case off and have had a small leak, ihave a new gasket ,the question is should i put some silicone on as well or put the gasket on dry.Thanks.
We seriously avoid putting any silicone product on the engine. If a small amount gets squeezed into the interior and breaks off it may get into an oil passage and then you have a mess.
I have used this for installing a leaky primary cover and it has worked well for a couple of years. Apply thinly, allow it to set up, install.
Check the spec's. I believe that it is not silicone. It was recommended highly to me.
