Cleaning out the garage and rediscovered this old cam scavenged out of an old 41 EL rat bike. No markings or stamped numbers to ID it. Couldn't find much in internet. Measurements indicate 0.450 lift. Don't put a lot of stock in that though (inadequate tools, poor eyesight and shakey hands) Closest I could find on the net was either an old Leineweber 450 or a Sifton 110 Knucklehead cam. But as I said no identifying marks. Any help will be appreciated. Pix follow,
Thanks
Nick
Lobe lift is measured with a dial gage on a lathe usually unless you own a cam doctor - either way the lobe lift is used against the rocker ratio in a math equasion
if its actually a .450 lift in a knuckle at one to one ratio - but — a .450 lobe lift in a panhead is 675 lift BTW
it does appear to me to be a panhead as the knuckle OEM cams were drilled maybe 7 / 16 through the center to be hollow for some reason have one can post up picture if needed
