Anyone know where I can get a set of tech specs for a Knuck. Anywhere from 1936-47. Nuthin special, just the standard wheel base, tire size, rake, seat height, weight etc. Thanks in advance.
Probably the best source of information is Palmers book "How To Restore Your Harley Davidson
Ballpark guide on rake... 37-40 used 28 degree rake, 41-45 41-45 used 29 degree rake and 46-47 used 30 degreee rake
Tires...18 inch wheel standard on 36-40, 16 inch was option is 1940 and standard after that
Wheel base was 59-1/2 inches
Seat height and weight I will have to dig around for. I have a rider's handbook for 48 models (need to find it) that I believe should list the info and be close to knuckles as well (heck they didn't change the wheel base until 1955 when they added another 1/2 inch).
Panz, thanks for the info . Checked at Amazon for Palmers book. Looks like an excellent resource. $233.00 for a used paperback... It's on my Christmas list but the library may do for now.
