Default 2012 streetglide front wheel upgrade

I want to upgrade my front wheel. Any thoughts on 21” vs 23”. Do I need to rake front end? Do I need to lower rear end? Is it safe to purchase from eBay?

I went with a 21 on mine, like the look and ride. Raking not required. Wheel came with the fender spacers. If you have ABS you might have to add a calibration device , I did not because of the tire size used with the wheel. I did lower the front end 1 inch eventually with a spring kit. But before I did that I could tell no difference in the handling, it did seem to take the curves better.
eBay...look at the seller reviews.

I just put a 21 on my RG and it raised the front just a little but still rides good, With a 23 You should put a rake set of triple trees on it,

21” no rake, if you do a 23” you will require a rake kit.

I did a 21” wheel looks and feels good only thing I’ve noticed is that a did raise the front about and inch.

21" wheels are more cost effective -
1. Keep your fender (might need a very minor mod to mounting holes for clearance if needed).
2. No rake required. Might need to adjust fork length to compensate for the bigger wheel.
3. Better selection of tires.
4. IMO, better handling than the 23" wheel.

My 21" wheel did not require any additional work. I did have to tape a nut to the tire and rotate it to make sure I had the clearance necessary but I was good.
